Let's cut to the chase. Here's what most people want to know... "How Long Will It Take Me To Get Six Pack Abs?" Check THIS out!
You can know with mathematical certainty how long it will take you to get a six-pack.
The following formula is a kind of six-pack calculator
Remember - Once you hit 10% body fat your abs will be clearly visible for all to see.
For this example let's use a 160lb man at 15% body fat. This guy is therefore carrying 24lbs of fat i.e. 160 x 0.15 = 24.
From this we can determine how much lean mass he is carrying:
160 - 24 = 136lbs lean mass.
So, what's the goal here? This guy wants to hit 10% body fat.
* We now take the GOAL body fat percentage from 1 i.e. 1 - 0.10 = 0.90
* Now divide the current lean body mass by this figure:
136 / 0.9 = 151 (rounded to a whole number)
So, our 160lb man would weigh 151lbs at his goal body fat percentage of 10% (assuming no muscle gain which certainly CAN happen).
* Next we subtract the goal weight from the starting weight:
160 - 151 = 9lbs. That's 9 pounds of fat to be lost to attain that elusive six-pack.
The question now is: How long does it take to lose 9 pounds of fat?
Well, it depends on the program you are using. A lot of programs use 1lb of fat loss per week as the top goal. If this were the case then the BEST you can hope for is 9 weeks. However, bear in mind that the best-case scenario rarely happens, most people go some weeks with a half-pound, quarter-pound or even NO fat loss. Also, other inferior programs actually promote the dreaded muscle loss which significantly slows fat loss!!
Total Six Pack Abs results in what I call 'meaningful' fat loss, which is AT LEAST 1 pound of fat loss per week, and sometimes 2-3 pounds under certain circumstances. Also, this fat loss is continuous - no stalls.
Our example guy can EXPECT his ripped six-pack in 6 weeks, or 4 weeks as a best-case scenario, and 9 weeks as the worst-case scenario.
Not exactly the arduous task it's been made out to be, is it? That is, not when you know what you're doing!
